You probably know me as the dude with dreadlocks on YouTube that talks about those football players that you forgot about.

But before all that, I was a football player at Southern University in Baton Rouge. I was one of those cats that loved the game, but I was a creative at heart. I was always writing, rapping, telling stories – I was all over the place.

When head coach Stump Mitchell booted me off the team, I worked commission sales selling TVs and ridiculous warranties to people that probably didn’t even need it in order to pay my bills.

Fast forward five years: I’m watching some YouTube videos to try and better my Call of Duty game. In some of these videos, these cats would show off their houses and thank their subscribers for making it possible. When I realized that these dudes were getting paid, I hatched up a little plan to quit my job cold-turkey and start doing YouTube.

I dropped my first “What Happened To” video in September of 2017 on former Oregon Duck LaMichael James, and the rest is history.

That’s my story. If you want a deeper dive on my football career, check out this video.

Until then, my name is FlemLo Raps and I’ll catch you next time.
